We process account details, message content, recipient information, attachments, message timestamps, version history, security records and limited usage information needed to operate and protect the service.

Why we process it

We use this information to provide the service, authenticate users, deliver message notifications, maintain correction history, prevent misuse, handle billing, respond to support requests and meet legal obligations.

Who receives it

Information may be processed by carefully selected infrastructure, email delivery, storage, analytics and payment providers only where needed to provide the service. Payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Afterword.

Retention and deletion

Message versions are retained to provide the correction record described to senders and recipients. Retention may also be limited by account settings, contractual requirements and applicable law. Account holders can request account or personal-data deletion, subject to lawful retention requirements.

You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information, object to certain processing, or ask questions about how your information is handled.
